Bernardi offers only warranties that are backed by Toyota Motor Sales.
Toyota views their Extra Care service agreements as an investment in your satisfaction.
They recognize that it is less expensive to convince a you, a satisfied Toyota/Scion
customer, to purchase another Toyota/Scion that it is to win a new customer.
Independent warranty companies have no such investment in your next vehicle purchase.
Their only objective is to realize a profit on the warranty that they sell you.
Their only means of reaching this objective is to minimize their expenses - and
thus the quality or services provided to you. This may result in:
- your warranty not be honored at all Toyota dealers
- the use of cheaper non-Toyota replacement parts that don't offer the quality of
original equipment
- fewer vehicle components being covered.
- it being very difficult to actually collect on a claim
